Angela's Story

I was raised in an entrepreneurial spirited family, one where we did whatever it took to keep food on the table. That included putting the youngest kid (me, aka the 30-year-old runt) to work at a very young age…7 to be exact! I joined the corporate world in my 20s and continued that path until 2020.

In April 2020, right as Covid19 was ramping up, like many Americans (and people around the world), I was dealt a blow that I didn’t think I’d recover from; I lost my job, and along with that, I felt like I lost my identity. To say I was humbled is an understatement! Being the breadwinner of my family, I was forced to start thinking of ways to supplement my income so I could afford to take a lower paying job, and that’s when it hit me! This is the perfect time for me to follow my dreams and become a small business owner. I love making all my own natural body care and bath products so why can’t I do this for others as well.

 

That’s when Gritz n Glitz was born! I conducted a 10-week, 27-participant (ranging in age from 16-71) trial to perfect my recipes and make them into products that everyone loves. I use natural ingredients, sourced locally when available, and my products are 100% handcrafted and mixed in small batches to ensure only the freshest blends are delivered to your door.

I’ve vowed to work hard but to allow myself grace, to treat my body with respect, all while helping and showing all of you that the possibilities are endless when you show your body a little TLC. My promise to you is quality, responsibly sourced, cruelty free ingredients that will NEVER EVER be tested on animals. My essential and fragrance oils are blended by yours truly, so be rest assured that you'll be getting unique combinations that you won't find anywhere else. Other products used are Natural, Organic, and/or Vegan (with only a few exceptions). If I use an ingredient that’s not immediately recognizable by us laymen, that item will appear in our Ingredients Library to view a full description of exactly what it is. You’ll never have to wonder what you’re putting on your skin.
